In depth knowledge of the entire production process with generator rotors including matching, winding, assembly, and balance.
+ Responsible for reviewing performance against operating plans and standards.
+ Evaluate production reports and metrics and make decisions that impact the results of the area of responsibility to established short- and long-range goals.
Monitor and ensure documentation of employee attendance records.
+ Assist in mediation of personnel problems and conduct disciplinary action when required.
Coordinate temporary staff requirements.
Ensure correct distribution of staff and assist with training for all new or transferred employees.
Maintain cooperation between departments.

+ Study daily operating results: meet daily with subordinates and consult with supervisors on solutions to production problems.
Assist in maintaining OSHA compliance on the plant floor, ensuring safety is a top priority in all aspects of the business.

+ Have production management skills and experience providing effective leadership to a range of employees about business priorities.
+ Must have experience in promoting and participating in continuous improvement/lean activities that meet operational excellence expectations.
+ Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S, and MRP/Quality Control systems.
+ 1 -3 years of direct supervisory experience preferred.
+ 2+ years of manufacturing experience required for a level 9 and 3+ years of experience for a level 8, winding and assembly experience preferred.
Bachelor's Degree, (BS/BA) Associates Degree or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work-related experience.
